Motion Settings

These settings determine how INetAlertView Home will perform when motion detection is turned on
      and motion is detected.

Motion Threshold - A numerical value between 1 and 100 which sets the minimum percent value of
motion that will trigger a selected "Motion Detection Event Action".

Sensitivity - Increases or decreases the amount of motion detection sensitivity.

Motion Detection Event Actions - Actions that can be performed when motion detection is turned on and
the motion percentage exceeds the "Motion Threshold" value. Only the ones checked will be performed.

           *      E-mail Pictures - Sends snapshot pictures to an e-mail address as specified in settings.

           *      Save Picture - Saves snapshot pictures to the computer hard drive as specified in settings.

           *      Record Video Length - Records a video of the motion event either for a timed duration
after motion is first detected or until a certain amount of time has passed after motion has stopped.

           *      Play Sound - Plays a .wav file or a computer beep as specified in the settings.

           *      FTP Picture(s) - Uploads a picture to a remote server.

           *      Run Program - Runs a program you select at the interval you set.

           *      Pop up main window - Shows main window if minimized

Use Defined Motion Area - Allows a rectangle to be drawn on the video window indicating where motion is solely to be detected.
Motion occuring outside the rectangle will not be detected.

To draw the rectangle, you must:

           1.) Click the "Show" button.

2.) Press the left button of the mouse down while it is over the video window and drag it in a straight line diagonally down and to the right.

3.) Release the left button of the mouse and a green rectangle will appear.

If it is not positioned correctly, you can repeat steps 2 and 3 until it is right.

This rectangle area is only used by the motion detection action if the check box is checked.

To prevent the rectangle from showing up in recorded videos or snapshot pictures, click the "Hide" button to the right after the
motion area is drawn. If the check box is checked, this area will continue to be used even if it is not showing.

Motion View - Selecting this check box will change the video preview window to a black display and any motion occuring will appear in white. This
can be useful for determining how much motion is occuring, where it is occuring, and how much sensitivity to use. When there is a lot of
white showing, use less sensitivity, when it is mostly black, increase the sensitivity level.

Check for Motion every - This is a timed interval at which the current video frame is compared to a previous one to detect changes caused
by motion. Setting this interval shorter will lessen the amount of change, thus making it less sensitive. Making it longer will increase the amount of change
      making it more sensitive.

Ignore Severe Motion - This is a uniqure feature not found on other webcam security programs. Selecting this will help to prevent false motion
alerts from happening when the amount of change between video frames is excessive such as turning lights on and off or from interference
when using wireless cams. Check this box if you are having excessive false alerts caused by these types of occurances.
